Social Media 101: Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
This workshop for non-profit organizations and agencies will help you develop a social media strategy using Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Topics include: how to generate followers and stimulate discussion, how to maintain your social media identity, how to manage your time, and how to measure success. Examples will be presented at every stage to help you create a successful strategy using social media tools.
Instructor Colin Rhinesmith is Community Media Coordinator for Cambridge Community Television (CCTV), where he manages NeighborMedia, computerCENTRAL, and CCTV's social media platforms. Colin also teaches in the Media & Culture Program at Bentley University. He received his B.A. & M.A. in Media Studies from Emerson College, where he wrote his Master's Thesis on the intersection of community television and the social web.
