Annual Meeting was quite an event
The Annual Meeting can be seen on the Web!
The old firehouse in Union Square was packed with members and friends on Thursday, January 22 for the 2009 Annual Meeting and Award Ceremony. Before the meeting, which was cablecast live on Channel 3, guests were treated to a wonderful assortment of delicious food and drink provided by Union Square restaurants and stores. They are so generous to SCAT every year that their businesses should be high on your list of great places to eat and shop throughout the year. Many thanks to Brazil Bakery, Great Thai Chef, Independent Restaurant, India Palace, Jerry’s Liquors, Mama Gina’s, Neighborhood Restaurant, Sherman’s Café, Subway in Union Square, Taqueria La Mexicana, and Union Square Pizza.
The meeting was also fun, with comments by SCAT’s outgoing Board President, Candyce Dostert, the incoming Board President, Richard Schieferdecker, Vice President, Pat Garrity, Executive Director, Wendy Blom, and SCAT staffers Daniel Marques and Prince Charles. Many thanks go to Representative Denise Provost and Mayor Joseph Curtatone for their comments about the importance of community media in general and SCAT in particular.
